An Almost Perfect Family and Friends Trip at Pangasinan

Ever since our History professor gave us a project to promote a provincial locality to be submitted no later than February, me and my group mates immediately planned for a Pangasinan trip. It took me a month and a half to ask permission to my parents to accompany us to the most awaited trip. UNEXPECTEDLY, we settled for Pangasinan allowing us to leave in the wee hours of Saturday, December 20, 2008.

We were a group of 11, consisting of: Me, Austin, Krizia, Raye, Charmaine, Hannah, Joy, Alvin, Ivan, Carlo and Miguel. We gathered ourselves at SM North EDSA, The Block and went home. My family were too kind to invite my friends to stay on our home for the night. Girls will be sleeping upstairs and boys will be sleeping downstairs. We'll be leaving on the wee hours of the next day and no one wants to be left behind. We got food, junks, drinks, clothes, tents and every resources we need for survival.

It was 2:30 am and the girls were getting ready. I personally woke up the boys and we all got settled at exactly 3.30am. We then left the house at 4am.

It was a long drive. Our first pit stop was the boundary of Pangasinan. We just took pictures and other things related and immediately proceeded to Tayug, where the Natividad Falls is located. Speeding things up, we arrived in Tayug safe and sound.

Finally, upon arriving at the foot of the mountains, my parents laid off and allowed us to go to the falls on our own with a trusty and expert mountaineer-tourist guide and uncle of my dear friend Krizia. It took us an hour to climb the rocks, soil and trees to reach the falls. And with no expectations, it never came to my mind that hiking was really a tough sport considering I was just wearing a lousy sleeveless top, a short shorts and an Ipanema slippers!

So, WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Ha-ha! It was really crazy, funny and very unexpected. It was really H-A-R-D. My heart pumped faster and slower at the same time and my sweat got colder and colder as I encountered cliffs and narrow steps. It was really an adventure to treasure and worth reminiscing knowing that I was with the best people on the PLANET - my parents, my boyfriend and my friends.

We ate breakfast at the sidewalk. Imagine two vans parked at the side of the road with 20 passengers having a picnic eating rice and chicken. Well, at least it didn't took a long time for us to dig in to our food.

IT WAS ALMOST PERFECT. The ambiance. The air. The feeling. It was like, there's nothing I could ask for more. Then again, problems come when you least expect it. And when it comes, it pours.

...to be cont. :-)

That Morning

From the time I opened my eyes at nearly 4:15am, I realized it was a day like no other. The silence was with associate with complete blackout - No sounds, no movements and it was like no air. I was at my door staring blankly at the terrace thinking where else is everybody. My uncle used to sleep at the second floor receiving area, but that morning, no one's in there, or even a thing. I hurried up to attend to my morning routines since Tuesday is a duty day. I left the house at exactly 5:30am and still, I saw no one. No breakfast, no coffee break and no goodbye kisses.

I walked in the darkest alley of Franc Street. There were no lights. The only functional light is at the crossing. As I pushed through I felt the cold breeze at my back. I wasn't scared at all. I just continued walking with my arms crossed on my chest. And then I laid off with a tricycle ride.

"It's a gloomy morning"

I told to myself. If only I could paste my sad face the end of each word, I would. It felt like I was having a premonition. Something really bad is going to happen, and when that time comes, no one will be standing by at my side. For sure, NO ONE.

1 day. 2days. 3 days passed. I was anxious to see the day I should not hope for. Not until one night.

My Well-Spent Days of being Unguarded.

Part 1
Target: Klownz Quezon Ave.

My boyfriend, Austin, have always wanted me to experience nightlife. To the fact that, he grew up spending his days under the roofs of expensive dining restaurants, evening parties, dance-till-you-drop craziness and most of all drink-till-you-vomit get together with families and friends.
On the contrary, I've lived the most intricate and normal and CONSERVATIVE and OLDEST way of living. HOME-SCHOOL-HOME-SCHOOL. Just books. 6pm curfew. And whatsoever you know that would fit in. AND FOR THE RECORD, my parents are working abroad and unexpectedly, I lived the way they wanted. DISCIPLINED.

However, due to persistent curiosity and certain uncontrolable circumstances, It just so happen that we got a chance to have a night out at Klownz. Weee!! I was so excited since it was the first time for me to go to a comedy bar. It was a crazy experience. Jose and Wally were funny. We settled down at 1am, that's when I felt OVER drowsy. What a night!

Part 2
Target: Zirkoh Timog

A first time would ALWAYS LOVE to be followed by a second time. ^_^ Hihi.. This time, it was really UNEXPECTED. Austin was just kidding around when he bluffed about going to a comedy bar with his sister. Knowing his sister is a gimikerang lakwachera, she immediately agreed upon on the situation. And to make the long story short, their parents, Tita Anne and Tito Jameson tagged along to join us throughout the night. After a 30-minute drive to different comedy bars, we ended in Zirkoh Timog, where we sat back and relax and hear cozy, green and funny jokes and comments from the hosts and the primetime entertainer, none other than, JOSE. Again. Ha-ha. What else can we do? Austin's a HUGE fan. It's worth it though. He's funny. ^_^ And this time, we lasted until 2am and arrived home at exactly 3am. What else would I want to do?? This is definitely too much for me.

I'll Be Your Race Car Driver. :D

This is a 'stolen' shot of myself during practical driving in A1 driving arena. REALLY, i tell you. I rushed my cellphone out and immediately clicked the camera button and took a picture of myself before my instructor headed back! Ha-ha! It was so stupid. I even forgot to smile or make faces. Geesh! I look awful.

Anyway, I've completed my endless hours of driving lessons and believe it or not! I AM NOW A LICENSED DRIVER. FOR REALS. Not until i get my non-professional license, I may be able to drive anywhere I want without the presence professional drivers. They say I'm a fast-learner and I got good potentials in driving. DUH-OH! I've been listening to tons of lectures from my parents and Austin and since then, I've learned a lot. APPLICATION really is very important (of course). BUT, I drive too FAST. My instructors would ALWAYS knock me down and BEG to slow down. HAHA! YEY!

Well then, I congratulate myself and hope I would have my own car and have my license fixed as soon as possible. ^___^

Go for A1 for easy driving!! Haha!

The Point of No Return: Capped, Pinned and Candle-lit

By this time, I can no longer stop nor switch courses. Yes I was capped. I now wore a pin on me. They even lit the candle in my hands. By this time, I can start calling myself a NURSE. I didn't want this. I wished to be someone under varieties of different kind of complexities. Someone who faces a man with a hammer with a secretary who types each word that is explicated by any member in a room; someone who wears a black suit and declares statements with or without his own will. But I guess, such chance would never ever come in my way. And now I'm here, there's no turning back. I tried to fail but still succed. Is that a failure? Or an opportunity that I may be a great help in this profession. Life come in its bitterest way, but still, I have to engulp each bits and pieces it gives. I'm not happy nor sad. But clearly, this is not what I want. For the better of the most, and the happiness of the countless, I'm willing to pursue what I've started until I reach the rightful dosage of success intitiated for me.

The Day I Never Thought I Wouldn't

January 14, 2008 -AAfter a dreadful hospital duty at OPD - Manila Central University Hospital, my friends succesfully convinced me to attend my boyfriend's sister's debut party. I was in hesitation of course, knowing most of the visitors would be their relatives. Beverly and Alvin (In particular) told me that it would be better for me to meet my boyfriend's family to start build a good social relationship. And since Janine, (Austin's sister) is dear to me, I decided to go. BUT, the problem was, the party will start at 7pm and I am NEVER allowed to attend any negotiation, parties, meetings, dates, dinner, movie watching or anything that goes after 6pm (Except for Classes). What did I do? Well, I send an SMS to my lawfully uncle entailing my plans for that night. And.. HE SAID YES! haha.. But for one condition. I MUST GET HOME AT EXACTLY 9pm. Well said, as long as I could attend the party. At exactly 6pm, I wore my 9-West Deadly slippers and get the party started as soon as my boyfriend fetched me from home. Expectedly, there were dozens of Regios in the field. I have plastered my all-smiles expression as I meet each one of them. They were so many that I couldn't even remember their names. His parents kept their cool though the place was steamy. They were really nice that night. Even the grandparents, they were sociable and very approachable. VERY. The Titas were so makulit; so energetic that it made me feel comfortable as they kid around. They kept laughing all throughout the night like they were really having so much fun, so am I. And so, I called it a day and decided to bid my farewell, again, to each one of them. At 10pm, my boyfriend sent me home. (Lagot kami shempre haha..)

Singing at the Top of Our Lungs at Red Box

It's been a while since I've had fun with my friends, PEXO (Pearl and Exodus). I admit, I really miss them. College life tortured me, unknowingly I am a prisoner of my own cell. And this time was the perfect chance wherein I could hang out with them after decades! Although it was only 8 of us who managed to attend the barkada trip, we still had fun (or should I say, I HAD SO MUCH FUN!).

I, Cindy, Sel, and Enrique found ourselves chilling under the sun at Starbucks Coffee. Yeah, yeah. I don't drink coffee and I don't even like the aroma of it. But, I love Mocha Frapuccino. Yees! You heard me!! Coffee. Little by Little. Anyway, After 3 Hours of waiting and SUN BATHING in a smoky, ultra-violet-raise radiated waiting area, who finally showed up? The mastermind, the always-late creature of all times!! Isagani Gabriel Galvez with my dear apo, JP. Well then, we got the party started! Woohoo!

What Happens At Red Box, Stays At Red Box.
What do I know? Ha-ha! Sel and Nhey grabbed on those kitchen utensils! Tch Tch.. Naughty Naughty! Erick came late, paid 200bucks for nothing. Mae came late either, but not as late as Nhey. As soon as we entered the room, We started to act like kids. We were screaming and going wild. I can't blame them, It's really comfy to be with them, and it's good to see each other's back upto now. We had dinner before we split. Then, miserable things happened. My stomach ached!Damn!! It was a good thing Austin came to fetch me. I can't even walk! I didn't even managed to say goodbye to my friends. Urgh!

Mexicali Treat With My Dearest Soon-To-Be Hubby

It was an I-cant-remember-the-date day when I and Austin decided to treat ourselves in Mexicali, a mexican food chain (OBVIOUSLY) in D'Block SM North Edsa. Well, what could be the key to an empty stomach? We both love munching any food in the entire world!! NAH.. We were just out of our minds, we decided to try something new.

Anyway, he ordered a Burritos, which i reeaally didn't like that much, and i was dying to eat Quesadillas (they were DELICIOSO). OMG. I love it.

We even tried some of their Butterscotch pies, It was good though. Damn Good. Ha-ha.. Well, what are you waiting for? Visit Mexicali near you!
